How do audiovisual works circulate? What ties producers, directors, contributors and broadcasters to one another? And what can network analysis reveal about how the industry actually works?
INA le lab and the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision (Beeld&Geluid) are running a hands-on workshop on exactly these questions, under the European TEMS project. It works on the data of the TAMIS proof of concept: ISAN (opens in a new tab) ISAN International Standard Audiovisual Number: the ISO identifier of an audiovisual work, which stays the same wherever the work travels. records (opens in a new tab) Record The whole set of metadata held about one audiovisual work, kept as a single living object instead of scattered across spreadsheets and systems. describing works, producers and contributors, combined with INA broadcast and rebroadcast data.
