This page describes where costs come from when you take part in the data space (opens in a new tab) Data space A decentralised infrastructure enabling trustworthy data exchanges based on commonly agreed rules. , and says plainly what has been decided and what has not. It is not a price list, and the terms below may change. Where an amount has not been settled, you will read that rather than a number.
Access to the data space
The economics of the data space rest on shared infrastructure and on a community of data providers and consumers. The model under consideration is a subscription, scaled to the kind of participant (opens in a new tab) Participant An organisation admitted to the data space, identified under its rules and able to exchange within it. : the type of organisation, its size, and the type of participation, rather than the volume of data it accesses.
Amounts and tiers are not decided. When they are, they will be published here.
Your connector
Self-hosted: no TAMIS fee. You run the connector (opens in a new tab) Connector The software component a participant runs, or has run for it, to exchange data inside the data space. It enforces identity, contracts and policies. yourself, and carry only your own infrastructure and operating costs. Hosted by a provider: at that provider's price, and TAMIS is not party to the contract. The example listings on the providers page give orders of magnitude, and they are marked as examples because that is what they are.
Onboarding and identifiers
Bringing a participant into the data space and maintaining its identifiers has a cost: verifying identity, issuing credentials, keeping them valid.

The data and services you consume
Negotiated bilaterally between provider and consumer, outside TAMIS. The pricing models seen in the pilot: a subscription based on the number of works processed, for an identifier matching service; an annual transaction fee for a broadcast data feed, indexed on the kind of channel, the level of enrichment and the hours covered; a fixed price per asset, paid once, set from a cost per minute, for a subtitling asset. The models are published here; the amounts are not ours to publish.
